The Electra mushroom coral can adapt to a variety of lighting and water conditions, however, seems to prefer lower light and flow. Unlike many other rare mushroom corals, this hardy strain is cultured and thrives in a reef aquarium environment. Individuals grow several inches in diameter.
Rhodactis or bullseye mushrooms are a type of Corallimorph, a soft coral that does not possess a hard skeletal structure. There are several closely related species, including the following: Discosomosa (Actinodiscus), Amplexidiscus and Ricordea mushrooms.
